oh and one more thing [house hunter garb]

[tart leggings, james perse white tee (old) - similar, gap patterned drape sweater (out of stock) - similar and also seen here, frye dorado riding boots, coach leather penny purse]

what does one wear house hunting? since we're doing a lot of that lately, i thought i'd give you a quick run-down of the type outfits i've been throwing on [literally, since we're usually rushing to meet up with our realtor after work, and walking the dog].

they mainly consist of:
  • leggings [for easy movability]
  • long white tunic tees [because no matter how much i want them to be, leggings are not pants]
  • boots - rain boots or i prefer leather [for walking around the house, usually in dirt/muck because it will most certainly will be raining or have just rained]
  • blanket sweater [it's warm enough to keep you from freezing on your walk through the dirt/muck while not too warm for when you're inside]
  • small cross-shoulder bag [you don't want to be carrying your big bag when your hubby asks you to "come one up here" and "check this out" in the back corner of the attic]
after a few failed forays wearing work clothes [mainly heels, see bullet #3] i now rush home to change into my trusty house hunting garb before venturing out to find our future house.

[i'd also like to note that my absolutely fabulous realtor has worn heels to every one of our appointments and has remained completely chic/muck-free following us all around the houses. i don't know how she does it. i think they go through heel boot-camp before getting a real estate license.]

  1. Aww, this posts brings lots of memories of our last few months. I'm very excited for you too. What a good list of what to wear on those hunting days!
Leggings & flats were/are my favorite. Some realtors manage to stay looking sharp, I have no idea how they can spend hours climbing stairs, showing backyards & going down basements wearing heels :)
    Good luck girl!
