but then i got the stomach flu. followed by a stupidly annoying head cold. and when you're venturing out after what feels like two weeks of illness to go house hunting [because you have 4 months before your lease runs out and you're slightly panicking], a skirt and sequins is the last thing you want to wear. in fact, all you want to wear are your new [finally found, perfect, stretchy] light-colored jeans [$19.95 at h&m, fyi, run and get yourselves a pair] and flannel [sweet, glorious flannel]:
[pjk patterson j. kincaid jacket, aqua flannel shirt (old), target grey tee (the softest thing on the planet), h&m jeans, target wedge sneakers, dooney & bourke cross body bag (old) - similar]
[so comfy]
[this was at one of the houses we saw... and definitely don't want to live in]
while i was skeptical when i first saw this little trend pop up, i'm now a convert [and i may even try them with much more interesting outfits].
in fact, i also have a black pair [also from target] and they may give my chucks a run for their money.
Love the plaid shirt with that jacket, and the wedge sneakers look so cute on you!

thanks emi! following back!! :)
DeleteNatalie, hope you feel better. When those sneaker wedgies came out I wasn't a fan at all, I like real chic wedges or sneakers but that middle thing? BUT those are the first one I really like, I dont know what about maybe because of that light hue?

i do! thanks ani! when they first came out, i didn't like them either. huge skeptic. but these were on sale at target [online] and they're so comfy. i actually like the black one's better - they give me a little oomph with the cool factor! both pairs were under $30 when i purchased them so that justifies it for me.
DeleteI keep going back and forth on the wedge sneaker. I think they are fab, but I worry that they will be completely passe a year from now. (Think acid-wash jeans or parachute pants, but over the course of a year.) I also love your jacket!

I'm starting to like this trend, too. And yes - flannel is my favorite. So comforting, especially after you've been sick.
