thursday threads [homeownership & an outfit, too]

Thursday, April 18, 2013
this has nothing to do with my outfit post, but, if you follow me on twitter (@n_likeintheskya) or instagram (@natalie_hodak), you know that the hubby and i finally settled on our house last friday [hip-hip-hooray!

we spent all last weekend making trips back and forth from our apartment, taping off walls for painting[which is soooo incredibly annoying, let me tell you], spending moolah at home depot, and setting up the kitchen/bathroom, etc.

i'm one of those people that needs to have everything done right away and this half-moved-in state is driving me a little bonkers. not to mention that every shade of grey i pick for our living room/dining room turns either blue or purple when the sun is setting [it's so frustrating!].

despite all of these stressful developments, i'm so happy to be in our house! [i'll post some pictures when it's a little less chaotic].

[oh and i guess you're here for the clothes, right?] here's an outfit i wore last week. that paisley tunic from old navy was such a score! i plan on using it in the summer as a chic beach cover-up [or just to wear while sunbathing on my new deck - which btw is blue, but that's another story - so my neighbors aren't blinded by my whiteness].

[patterson j. kincaid jacket (last season), old navy paisely tunic, gap skimmer jeans, target wedge espadrilles, f21 shades (old)]

 [coach leather penny purse]

p.s. don't forget to check back tomorrow to see who won the body shop beauty giveaway!

  1. Welp you look adorable. I love that jacket and the purse. I wouldn't think to pair the two together but it works surprisingly well. Also congrats on being a homeowner! I live in an apartment since I'm going to college but I don't really think it's the same thing, you know?

  2. This is such a cute look! I'm in love with your jacket! Good luck getting all finally moved into your house. I think it took me a month to even just get my 1 bedroom apartment all organize; can't even imagine having to do an entire house!

  4. CONGRATS, lady! I know just what you mean about paint colors. We've been doing a couple big projects this week (new windows and cement & pavers in the backyard) and it feels like I live at Home Depot! And I really hate hardware stores. I think that's engrained in women from a young age. :)
